Paia/Haiku Maui Hawaii Real Estate Newsletter     -     July 2009

Where do Maui people go on vacation?  This summer we are enjoying a trip to the Atlantic Provinces in Canada.  The Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec is very amazing with lots of beaches and artsy/craftsy sights.  It might not be as warm as Maui, but it makes for good sleeping weather at least.  Pictured here is the Saint John River valley - a land that time forgot!

FRESH - fine dining in New Brunswick, Canada

When you're traveling in eastern Canada, it's not always easy to find a good place to eat that doesn't just serve greasy fare.  It seems that French fries and deep fried delicacies are the norm here.  If you want to have a really good fine dining experience you should know about this quaint little restaurant that's located in an old passenger train car.... FRESH.

Located in Bristol, just north of Florenceville, on the beautiful Saint John River scenic drive, Shogomoc Railway is easy to miss.  This historic site showcases a restored 1914 CPR train station with a gift shop, railway artifacts and visitor information.  One of the 3 CPR cars has been renovated as a fine dining restaurant. 

Sara Caines is the genius behind this establishment, and she strives to bring different flavors to the region.  All dishes are made from absolutely fresh ingredients, and each offering is mouth-watering.  I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal.  Don't pass up this chance for a really good meal in a quaint spot.
