I combined August and September Realtor Caravans for the north shore, and
added our best new Haiku listing to make a newsletter with some extra nuggets this

Hanzawa Store on Kaupakalua Road would like to expand their 94 year old
business. The owners have applied for rezoning and state land-use district
boundary amendments on 2 acres to allow an 800-foot expansion of the store
and the construction of three small commercial buildings nearby. The
general store and gas station have been important to the community and they
deserve support. The owners stock local produce, accommodate special
requests and extend credit to longtime customers, just like an old-time
country store. The proposed expansion has been deferred for now by the
County Council's Land Use Committee.
