Georgina- Don't you just LOVVVEEEEEE iPhoto!!!!!! I will not use anything else. Your photo is amazing. Kaleb is saving his money now. He should be there in Paia in about 4 months if all works out the way he plans. He did try for a couple of jobs but they said, No Haoles to apply:(
Hi Georgina, Once again, beautiful flowers I've never seen before. Thanks for expanding my floral horizons.
Beautiful flowers! Thanks.
WOW , amazing! I need to start saving some money (and time) to visit.
I don't even know what this flower is either. iPhoto is pretty cool, but I'm also hooked on ACDSee which I have used for years.
The flowers are beautiful and so are the COLORS of them....I am going to have to make a trip to the florist to get something pretty!
Georgina, those are pretty flowers, but what is that concrete structure right behind it that looks like a nuclear reactor?
Kevin - you make me laugh! that's a tree trunk - a royal palm! There are no nuclear reactors on Maui.
I echo what Kevin's question was, now I know a concrete looking tree trunk. In any event another great picture from my friend living in a beautiful land.
Hello Georgina and that is a beautiful shot and the colors are so vibrant!
VB ;o)
WOW...I know today is a speechless post day but can you ell me the name of those beautiful flowers? Thanks, Russell
Now that's some beautiful eye candy Georgina, talk about vibrant colors! Faulous shot man.
We have one in our back yard but I don't know the name of it. However, I know someone who does, and as soon as he takes a break from his home inspection report, I'll send him over here.

Jim sent me an email before he went to bed saying you needed some help identifying a plant.
The one in the picture is the Red Bird of Paradise (Caesalpinia pulcherrima). It's also known as the Pride of Barbados or Mexican Bird of Paradise.
It's a member of the pea family, and butterflies love it. Even though peas like water, the Mexican Bird of Paradise likes it dry and hot.
Beautiful flowers and so glad Russel provided information on this gorgeous plant.
We have a winner! Russel Ray provided the much needed info..... it's a Mexican Bird of Paradise, Caesalpinia pulcherrima. Thanks Russel!
tropical beauties! absolutely stunning! thanks for posting them!
Georgia - I am with Kevin it certainly looks like a concrete structure albeit a weird shaped one
