Have you tried the FLIP video camera yet?
Flip HD is the greatest little camera!
I got this sweet video camera for Christmas and have been having a blast with it ever since. It's just so easy to use there's no excuse for not having videos of everything! I think this one cost about $200 - it's Hi Definition, and it has the tripod mount on the bottom.
It's small and light, and fits in your pocket or purse. Whip it out and press one button, start shooting! No messing around with complicated settings.... just point and shoot. This model will take a couple of hours of footage.
Ready to download? Just FLIP up the USB connection and plug it into your computer... PC or Mac, it doesn't matter. Downloading your files is quick. While the camera is plugged in it's recharging it's battery so you never have to think about that.
What are you doing with the footage? Have you tried iMovie on your Mac? I gave a quickie lesson to my stepdaughter - she had never even tried her iMovie feature yet. In a few minutes I was able to slap together a 37 second little movie from some clips and the music that comes with iMovie. No time for posting it here... will be back later.
IT'S SO EASY! TRY IT.

This sounds like an awesome little gadget that you can have a lot of fun with!
We love The Flip! We have had so much fun flipping our team and events as well as our listings.
I am considering purchasing the latest version for $279. Everyone I have heard from enjoys this brand camera's.
I've been contemplating a new camera and had heard of the flip as being the next great one to have. Thanks for the review - I will definitely be checking into it.
I love mine! I got it and tape everything now! lol
These are AWESOME!
Love the Flip Video!
I bought one for my daughter and after seeing how much fun she was having and how easy it is to use, I bought one for myself!
It's made my camcorder so last century!
One thing you will find with any camera is how does it fit in your hand. If it part of your land. Like a cell phone..is it a brick, too tiny for your man paws or is the camera not weight, hard to steady as you pan without a tripod?
I love my flip too, Georgina! It's always in my purse (with my camera), because you just never know when an opportunity to be the paparazzi will come up :)
It does take a little getting used to, as it's so light. In the wind I have to use 2 hands to steady it sometimes. The convenience is unmatched.
I've got my eye on the Canon Rebel T2i since it also takes movies in HD, limited only by the size of the memory card. After playing with my handy dandy Canon Rebel XSi this past year, I'm not sure I could be satisfied with video alone though.
Georgina - this sounds great but my next purchase is going to be a new laptop - hope to finally decide this month!
Wow Georgina, this seems like a nifty little device that can come in handy at any moment especially when marketing any business...thanks for sharing
Well whadya know! Comments are working again. Thanks for commenting despite the glitches!
Russel - you should see me today - juggling 2 cameras, snaps an video - it could be a full time job!
I just can't keep up with all these technological advances although my husband has his eye on the new Canon Rebel T2i which takes HD movies in various forms. Both of us are pretty well addicted to still photographs and making movies out of them. Some of these movies I see on YouTube and Facebook are absolutely atrocious, even when they claim to be HD. I don't think it's the quality of the video per sé as much as it is the fact that cheap movie cameras make people think that they are now expert and creating audiovisual presentations, and nothing could be further from the truth.
