I'm saying something positive about Zillow!
This isn't easy to do but I have to say it. I'm impressed with the Zillow inquiry follow up.
Yesterday I actually had contact from a consumer (a first), by way of an email from www.Zillow.com. Curiously enough the inquiry came from somebody who is in my contact database and actually gets my e-newsletters every month, but has never responded to those. I got back to him within a few hours and he really appreciated the quick repsonse. But that's not the point here.
What really surprised me is that just now I got an automated call from Zillow saying that I was recently contacted by someone online with Zillow, and to check my SPAM box in case I missed the email. I thought that was very nice of them to let me know via a phone call, in the event that the email was missed. It was about 24 hours after the email that the call came. You gotta love that.
So there, I said it... Zillow did a good job with contact follow up. Maybe we can all learn something here.
Have a great weekend! Aloha from Maui.

Interesting....I've never gotten one of those follow up calls, although I have been contacted by consumers from Zillow. I wonder if it's a new feature?
That is impressive service Georgina, but I can't jump on the bandwagon. I just told a Zillow rep today that I can't affiliate myself with them because of their credibility. I used the example of my $625,000 listing (properly priced) showing up on Zillow for $525,000. I'd look pretty silly with my mug on Zillow next to that information.
No, they have a long way to go with their credibility and accuracy. I wish they would work on that instead of this state of the art customer service. (I know it sounds odd, but it's true!)
I have to agree about NOT jumping on that bandwagon! That is one website I wish would fade away into the dust!
I have been getting lots of e-mail from Zillow lately and, like you, am surprised...
I haven't gotten that call from Zillow yet, but have gotten 2 emails from consumers for showing requests from Zillow since signing up a few weeks ago. So far, neither of them responded back with a good time to view the homes and I have no phone numbers for them. The jury is still out on how useful their lead services will prove to be, but the prices seemed good when I signed up.
Sincerely,
Kathleen
I know that wasn't east for you. Not sure I could have came up with many positive things for Zillow on short notice but you are right, that is a nice feature. Lets hope it is the beginning of a new Zillow and not just a random good thing. lol
That is actually unreal , How good tec, is in those day's .
Hi Georgie ,
How did you get all the Widgets on to your Blogs ?
Cool
Thanks for the feedback - interesting comments!
Georg - do you mean the social media buttons? Go back a few posts on my blog and you'll find the story. Aloha!
Probably some newbie Zillow employee trying to make a good impression on his bosses. LOL
Hey Georgina - Sara from Zillow here. Glad you liked this! It is indeed something new we are trying. We would talk to agents who said that they never got leads, and when we looked up there account, they had gotten multiple - turns out they were just going to a spam filter or the agent didn't realize it was a lead. So we are trying this new system in an effort to help alert agents, and to help consumers get better follow up. So far it has been positively received. There is an opt out at the end of the voice mail, as it may not be a service for all.
Also, not surprised to hear people are getting more leads. For those who have at least activated their profile and especially for those who are part of our Premier Agent program, we added more lead forms throughout the site. We added more on the listings themselves, but also added them to homes that aren't for sale (CMA-type leads) and soon will be giving more exposure to agents in the search results. This is in addition to all the mobile exposure Zillow agents recieve, which is growing like gangbusters. To be clear, these aren't generic leads. When one gets sent, it is because the user specifically chose to send a lead to that one particular agent.
