Dragon Dictation for iPhone
Have you heard about the dragon dictation application? I'm using it right now.
I love that you can speak and it turns it into text. When it's inconvenient to use your computer or you don't want to use your tiny keyboard on your smart phone, consider using the Dragon application. It's a free download from the app store and you'll find it really useful.
Just press the record button and speak, hit the stop button and then you can edit... because there will be some spelling mistakes (especially in the Hawaiian language), and then you can send it off to yourself by e-mail or text message. Try it and let me know what you think. I'm loving it. Aloha from Maui.

Dragon Speaking is by far the best voice recognition software available today. The fact that it's now available as an iPhone app is very cool!
I find if you speak slowly and clearly it's pretty accurate, until you say something like Kamehameha Avenue!
Can it spell Humuhumukununukuapua'a?
Jeff - you have to be kidding. even M A U I is hard unless you say it really clearly. that's where the editing comes in handy! Maybe they can make a Hawaiian version!

Great app - I don't have an iPhone, but I'm sending this to everyone in my office with one!
Todd Clark uses this ap I believe and has done very well with it...
I'm starting to use this a lot. I'm getting better at it. So convenient! Try it!

I tried the voice recognition software that comes with windows vista using a headset and it was a disaster. It took me longer to fix the mistakes then it would to type it. I've got a droid incredible that has a voice recognition app. I'll give it a try to see if I can get better results.
