Aloha Friday - Pictures from Hana Maui HI 96713
I did the drive to Hana Maui yesterday... there and back that is. I needed to take some pictures and video of a listing, for a mainland client. It's a house and cottage on 9 acres, in a quiet setting up above the coastline, and surrounded with jungle and tropical flowers. But more about that later.
What a beautiful place Hana is, and what a great day it was. It's just so peaceful and relaxing there, and it made me want to stay. Got a lot of nice pictures and want to share some now...

The little island is off the coast of Hana, but I don't remember the name of it.
Those plumeria flowers really are that brilliant! I did not retouch the photo. And they smell delicious too.
There were 2 of these huge carved tikis in front of a gated estate. They must have been 8' tall. You know I just had to stop the car for that!
I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse of island style living from Hana Maui!

Hi Georgina! Ah, the Road to Hana!! I remember the beauty of that road when my husband and our children were there over 20 years ago! Wait a minute, how is that possible?? :)
I think my husband wanted to win the prize for "how fast can we go and come back?"! The beauty that I saw went whizzing by!! I need to go back and take my time!
It certainly is another world out there, Georgina. Love the coastline.
Tricia - I think we've all played that game... like it's an Olympic event. It sure is nice to slow down and enjoy the stops along the way though.
Jane - thanks for dropping in!
Have a great weekend!
Absolutely breathtaking.
I went to Maui and did the road to Hana for the first time. It was one of the most moving experiences I've ever had.
Hey, by the way, did you stop at that little hut at the organic farm that sells the smoothies where you power your own blender with a stationery bicycle?!!
What a beautiful place! That first picture was just too awesome!
I so wish I could visit there!
Coming to you from Texas...
Ralph - NO but I would have if I knew where it was! haha As for a moving experience... it's funny but some are very passionate about NEVER wanting to do it again!
Sussie - we just stopped by the side of the road and snapped that, then got back in the car. There's so many great photo ops everywhere you turn!
Georgina - it sounds like some here have taken what I call a bus drivers vacation ..... they are so used to photo op stops that is all they do ..... stop everyone off the bus snap, snap ok back on the bus and on down the road to the next stop
Plumeria - how I love that flower! I had several in my yard when I lived in Tarpon Springs! They are so beautiful!
Great shots Georgina, I was looking for my drink!
Here's wishing you a great Saturday!
Paul
Georgina, great photos! The drive to Hana is so pretty! Not easily done if you're in a hurry, but very beautiful!
Beautiful pictures Georgina! In the background of the first one is that smoke coming out of the top of that mountain?
There are those days when I wish I was alone on that little island off the coast of Hana. Just me and that Tiki god - it sounds like heaven. Love the photos from your area! And I can almost smell that Plumeria from here.
Kathy - haha, yes we were doing a little of that as we had a lot of ground to cover.
BJ - I get you miss them too
Paul - mai tais will be served next Friday!
The C Team - thanks for coming by my blog
Debra - NO I hope that's not smoke! I think it's just a tree. There's no active smoking volcano on Maui, only the Big Island.
Myrl - I know what you mean! I could have stayed for a few days instead of a few hours.
Your picture is WAY BETTER than my picture!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful photos...I hope to visit there again someday.
Wow, they are great pics. I've never been to Hawaii. I'd love to go someday.
Hi Georgina. Now the ocean scene looks very familiar. Is that from that little penninsula a several miles down the Hana Highway? Keannae I think?
Hi Georgina -- here I am, vacationing on Cape Cod, enjoying your photos of Maui! I'll be sending you a note in a moment.
