Hawaii Five-0 back on TV - don't forget to tune in tonight!
Remember Hawaii Five-0? That TV drama we all know and love is making a come back, and tonight is the night! Don't forget to tune in on CBS and watch the premiere episode of Hawaii Five-0, filmed here in Hawaii.
I really hope this new series will be a winner, and will run for many seasons. The film business is good for the economy over here in Hawaii. Now that Lost is no longer in production, we could use a good TV series to keep a lot of people employed in the industry.
I've got it all set to record on the DVR and can't wait. You people on the mainland will get to see it before we do. Please give it good reviews!

Thanks for the reminder, Georgie. I wasn't considering watching it, but now you have me curious. Strange that they kept the one actor from Lost in Hawaii :)
Thanks Jane - the previews look good and I hope it can live up to the hype!
I don't know I'm a bit of a purist. Not sure how I feel about a remake of Hawaii-5-0
Georgina - thanks! My husband just told me they we're making a new one but he thought it was Thursday. Yikes......I just told him it's on tongiht. Fun!
Hello Geogina and I have always loved this show and thanks for the reminder!
VB ;)
I don't think it will be the same, of course, so many years have gone by since 1968. But I really do wish the best for the series. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
Thanks for commenting, and thanks for watching!
We are watching it right now... hope it works out better than the Event! What a bomb! It was all a mish mash of past and present events that drive me crazy...just like Lost! By the way my husband says that the Event is written by the Lost writers...
Coming to you from Texas...
Well, I had hoped to watch some of the new shows but realized I had not posted a blog today---so here I am on AR!! Guess that is what I get for not planning ahead! Hope it was good!!
Georgina, I'm really looking forward to this. I've been to Hawaii a number of times since the original series and will be interested to see how many places I recognizae.
It's interesting that all the main characters will have the same names as those in the original series. Steve McGarrett, Danny Williams, Chin Ho Kelly and Kono(a).
If I can stay awake that long I'll have on my aloha shirt and flip flops.
Mahalo for a reminder!
Georgina - while I missed it last night I will catch it tomorrow morning on HULU while I am working out!
I missed it too- but will catch in next week - ahh I remember watching the original Hawaii Five O with Jack Lad? was it? Probably one of the first shows that ever instilled a love of Hawaii for me :)
Georginal, have to admit I was a little disappointed. Felt like it was a Lethal Weapon remake. Granted they had a lot of characters to introduce, so I'll give them a mulligan on this one.
The original 5'O had smart writing for the time and good plots. Where is Wo Fat when you need him?
I still didn't get a chance to watch it... probably tonight.
Greg - uh oh... too much Hoolywood, and not enough aloha?
Georgina, perfect description. Other than Grace Park surfing it could just as easily been filmed in LA. One of the best things about the original was how they worked in the "local flavor".
