Kona girl - Jack Russell Terrier on Maui

Isn't she just the cutest little dog you ever saw?

Kona girl - Jack Russell Terrier on Maui

It's been 2 years now since the first day we brought her home as a tiny puppy!

Kona girl - Jack Russell Terrier on Maui

She's a good girl and she gets to run free and roam over acres of ground, including a valley with a stream.

Kona the Maui JRT getting spoilt

Yes we do spoil her and let her up on the bed, and she loves it!

I love her flower arm band! That is just the cutest! She looks like a Jack Russell is she? Let me know... I could not "see" any evidence of gender.

They do indeed become an important part of the family!!! I miss the ones we have had! My daughter has a beautiful chow/shepherd that is almost 9 years old.

I love the expressive face.  How could you not end up talking to this dog and feeling as they understand exactly what you are talking about.  Dogs are wonderful companions that appreicate love and comfort.  That is how they trained us when they gave us language and the responsiblity to take care of them way back in evolution.  Dogs and Cats still rule.

Kona is the short version of a Jack Russell Terrier.  We do have another one, but he's older and not so much fun, more of a serious personality.  Kona loves to play, and talk.  This type of dog is very intelligent and vocal and I swear they almost try to speak our language!

Thanks for all the comments!

Looks like she was posing for the camera. You can really get attached and they know how to work you when they want a cookie.

Georgina,  She is adorable!  I love her lei.  My dogs would never let that stay on :)

I have to take a lot of these dog pictures to get a good one, as she doesn't stay still for long.  The lei on her arm was a decoration from a bottle of local liqueur, and it didn't stay on long either.
