Georgina - Looks like a great home with a beautiful view. I was just wondering, why the home was build off the ground?

Stunning!

OK, if it were for sale, what would the price be?

Georgina, I'm sorry but I lived in both Guam and Hawaii and if I'm going to live on an island, I want to look at the water or be on the beach. I must admit though, the back country of Maui does have its appeal...

Hi Georgina,  What a beautiful place! Now I know more about Maui and my husband is ready to move there. We saw Paia and the Hookipa overlook but didn't make it to Haiku. We loved Kihei and all the beaches, especially Ulua/Mokapu. Lahaina is quaint but too touristy for us as we already live in a tourist town, but loved the Banyan tree. 6 days in paradise is not enough!

Georgiana,  I am an East coast boy and think Nantucket is heaven and yet your pictures and properties.  Now I have to include your wonderful island in my bucket list for places to visit and own property.  Know any good agents who can help?  hehe

Robert - it's a pole house, which gives it some height to better enjoy the ocean views.  Also, the ground level is used as a carport and storage area.  We don't do basements over here.

Charles - asking price is $1,450,000.  3BD/2.5BA  MLS# 336482. I was trying to be wordless, haha.

Paul, once you're up on the deck, the ocean views are big.  This kind of home, on 5 acres, at the water's edge would be more like upwards of $5-10M.

Amy - I knew it, you'd be hooked.  It only takes one time.  Glad to hear you enjoyed your first vacation to Maui.  If your husband is a windsurfer/kiteboarder then I can understand why he wants to move.  Once you experience Haiku you will probably love it too.  Time to book another trip!

Larry - you have been warned... like Amy says, 6 days is not enough.  Plan your first visit to be at least 2 weeks.

Thanks for all the comments!

With 5 acres, ocean views and plenty of room to grow, you were right in saying this is a perfect place to get away from it all.

I was wondering just like Robert but you got that covered in your response... I just can't get over how beautiful the entire islands are!

There is 2 someones in the area I would like to meet Daune Lee and Leland....oh yeah...

Georgina, looks like a place I could hang out for a long long time!  I love the term - pole house.  Hadn't heard that before.  Here's to that lucky new buyer!

Now this is something I love, homes up on stilts! You see that around here too, along the coastline!
