Some new pictures of Haiku and Paia Maui as seen through my iphone photo apps....

Maui tropical plants

Close up of a traveller's tree in Haiku.  They say you can get a drink of water from inside the leaves.

Sunny sunflowers grow well in Haiku Maui with plenty of sunshine and rain.

Silhouette of a papaya leaf - but it almost looks like a Hawaiian quilt pattern!

Old meets new... a lilikoi fruit hangs out with the tired old tire.

These are quite impressive! You have a very good eye for imagination with the camera. I especially like the cattle egret in the sky - looks mystical! Beautiful sunflowers. Excellent photography throughout.

Lucky you to have a cottage in in Maui! Thank you for sharing.  :)

Georgina - I like the one of the Egret it reminds me of the Great Blue Herons that frequent our back yard to fish in the stream behind our home.

Georgina, well they are all "APPENING", but I gotta go with the Cattle Egret...I like birds anyway.  I don't know if you planned this shot, but with the strength of the bird and of the sky the placement was great.

Georgina, there is so much beauty on Maui!  It is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever visited!

Wow, from your iphone?  I wouldn't think you'd get that much clarity.  That papaya leaf is so symmetrical.  Interesting.

Beautifully photographed Georgina. I especially loved the contrasts between the old tire and the new lilikoi fruit.

The natural beauty in Hawaii is almost unsurpassed. I say that because I first fell in love with Hawaii, but then discovered the diversity of California. So we live in California and visit Hawaii.

Hard to believe those gorgeous photos were taken with an iPhone. So clear and crisp!

these are great pictures, i like the papaya leaf.

The egret was a lucky blind snapshot at the sky, then cropped down to include some clouds, some blue and the bird.

The papaya leaf was shot from underneath with the sky as the backdrop, then run through some filters and cropped.

Yes there's beauty all around here, which helps when it comes to taking pictures.

I am really impressed with the iphone camera and I have come to use it more and more.

Aloha!

Georgina, these are really beautiful and I am amazed at the apps available AND the quality of photographs we are able to take these days! Have you heard of auto-stitch. It's an app that allows you to take several pictures and then "stitch" them together to make an awesome Panorama!

Georgina - what great photos! I am getting my new iphone next week, while I am in DC visiting my son (so he can do the tutorial with me since he has had one for a couple of years now).

Georgina--Such a nice variety and just so extremely different than anything those of us on the mainland see.  I can honestly feel the love you have for this place you call home.  You do not do a very good job of hiding it!!

Hello Georgina - I love the pictures.  I wish that my iPhone could take pictures like that.  Maybe I need to move to Maui!
