winter weather on Maui

You are crazy if you think I want to be looking out my window and seeing snow covered trees.  That's exactly the reason I moved to Maui, so I would never have to shovel snow, scrape my windshield, and drive on icy roads EVER AGAIN.

When I see the news reports of winter weather on the mainland, and in Europe it makes me so glad that I am here in Hawaii for the holidays, and every day.  We are experiencing winter weather, with some rain and cooler temperatures.

Joni - You're lucky you can still wear flip flops, or slippahs as they call them here.

Georgina:

You are really flaunting your weather advantage by showing us the temperatures there in Hawaii.  It's freezing here in the Washington, D.C. area.  But don't feel too sorry for me.  I got away for 17 days in November to Chile where the temperature ranged from 70 to 80 degrees and the sunset at about 8:30 p.m. every evening.  Happy Holiday!

Georgina,  I would hope if one lives in Maui one would not want a white Christmas.  But then I bet there are some people who might travel to the Rockies or some place for the holidays to ski and have a white Christmas.

Happy holidays!

Georgina - I envy you the weather in Maui. I've never been to Hawaii, but one of these days I am going there for a holiday.

Hi Georgina.  Don't I remember that the Haleakala Highway was closed last year due to snow and no snow plows to remove it???

May you have a white Christmas after all!!!

Well, you beat us, we only had 73 degrees today here in Crystal Beach but it was a beautiful Christmas anyway. You did indeed have perfect weather!

It is 25 wind chill in St. Louis and there is a cloudy snow haze overhead. I am extremely jealous!

Hope you have a wonderful new year!

Georgina -

I could really use some of those temperatures right now in Central Florida... Going to be 28 degrees tonight, I'm not made for this...
