PRESS RELEASE: Paia, Maui, Hawaii....After a five month hiatus, one of Maui's most popular cover bands will return to Charley's Saloon in Paia, Maui on Friday, March 25th.
They will perform live tunes by MGMT, Kings of Leon, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, The Clash, Modest Mouse, U2, The Vines, The Killers, The Raconteurs, The Ramones, Green Day, Weezer, Oasis, Pixies, Cracker, Harvey Danger, Sublime, Cheap Trick, Supergrass, Nirvana, Lenny Kravitz, and The Sex Pistols.
A Maui based band, The Neverminds are Mike Pearl on drums & vocals, Dave Vickers on bass & vocals, Nils Rosenblad on lead guitar and Andy Church ( my very first client!!!) on lead vocals & guitar.
The opening band will be Breakaway Demon Sex who are also from Maui, Hawaii. They are led by Krista Dawn on vocals, Mark Peters on bass, Andy Quammen on drums.
The show starts at 9:00PM. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door. A portion of the proceeds from this show will be donated to Japan Tsunami Relief efforts.

Charley's is famous as the place where Willie Nelson likes to eat breakfast, and play to small crowds. This restaurant and bar is home to the north shore music scene and you can catch live acts quite often. The food is good, the waitresses are friendly, and the atmosphere is casual.

Georgina, I think it's great you're promoting one of your local bands. I was chuckling because I remember the tale of a "local" band that the locals didn't promote - The Miami Sound Machine - better known as Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, LOL.

Charley's in Paia is a great place, really good food...lots of fun! Great shopping in Paia right down the block!

This sounds like a great event! This must be near and dear to you with your very first client in the band... I hope you are able to attend. It's awesome that you are helping them and your community out by promoting this event. I'm so happy to see them help out the Japan Tsunami Relief efforts as well.
