Of course by now you've heard about the Hawaii tsunami that was generated by the earthquake in Japan.  Maui experienced some flooding from a 6-9 foot surge and areas like Lahaina, Kihei and Kahului sustained the most damage.  Compared to the devastation in Japan though, our effects were minimal and there were no reports of casualties.  Check out YouTube for some video of the aftereffects.

I love your newsletters! The photos are always amazing and the prices remind me why I live here.....I could not afford to move there!

Hi BJ - thanks for reading the newsletters and commenting.  You're right about the prices here compared to Florida.  But compared to CA a lot of buyers think we have good prices, especially oceanfront properties.
