Happy Memorial Day - take a moment to reflect
We are all so lucky to be living in this country, and to have a life that's relatively secure compared to so many other places in the world. Just look around at the misery that goes on in countries that have no freedom as we know it. It comes at a cost - the many lives lost to protect our way of life.
Memorial Day is set aside for us to remember those brave people who sacrificed their lives so that we can benefit. Take a few minutes to think about those who are no longer with us. Were they your relatives? Perhaps a parent, a sibling or your child? Everyone has been touched in some way, and we all can be thankful, today and everyday.
THANK YOU. You will be remembered. You will be celebrated on this day.

Georgina: Well Said and presented....I think we are more aware these days of what our service men and women do for us. I remember when I was kid, no one talked about anything but having fun on Memorial Day. I'm happy we are all more aware and celebrate it with thought-fullness!
Georgina: Your tribute post is quite fitting for this day to remember this Memorial Day. We have so much to be thankful for and may we never forget those that fought and those that passed to allow us to have these freedoms. We must never forget and our children and grandchildren must never forget the price that has been paid so that we can remain a free and prosperous country.

Georgina...you offer some great words here. We do all benefit from living in the greatest country on earth. I could never fully express the gratitude I have for those who gave all in order to preserve what we enjoy today.
