Outdoor kitchens are all the rage these days - Hawaii style outdoor kitchen
Can you picture yourself cooking dinner in this outdoor kitchen by the beach?

Well it might be a little rustic, but look at the view!

No need to get too fancy here, just bring some good food for the grill and a cooler full of side dishes and cold drinks.

You could even catch your dinner while the coals are getting hot...

Cooked up a great blog with imagery that hits stronger because everything is not new and shiny. The picnic table weathered, the rock fireplace "grill" carved from natural elements. Go along with the area, attitude of the island(s) you list, market, serve, enjoy! Can you get those red dye number three hot dogs over there for your baked beans though...(smile)
I can almost hear the ukulele in the back round. Outdoor eating is a treat and the view always matters!
If only my other half loved the outdoors as much as I do, I would be living outdoors. Who needs a home unless you're trying to hide something, or from somebody? LOL
I would take the view over a fancy restaurant anytime, Georgina.
Funny, I had a different picture in my mind of an outdoor kitchen in Hawaii!
Hopefully the plumbing is not also outdoors.
Andrew - oh yes those red hot dogs! Fukushima's in Haiku Maui is famous for them!
Jane - only if you can do it standing up!
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Hi Georgina--somehow I was picturing the outdoor kitchen of a $20M beach-front home, like I get to see on my daily walks on Keawakapu beach. However, you photos inspire me to think of smores.
Hi Janet - I was being a little tongue-in-cheek. But really isn't it just about getting back to basics and enjoying nature? Somehow the vision got lost with all the glitz.
Georgina-That is definiely a back to nature pit. But a nice ocean breeze with the salt spray has got to make the food taste even better.
I want one! A nice one that is really nice and most of all Free! LOL
Sussie - yeah, and with someone else to do the cooking and clean up, right?
Back to nature! I love it! And with the water as a backdrop, what could possibly be better???
