Paragon 4.0 rolls out

Are you using the Paragon MLS browser?  The new version Paragon 4.0 is coming out, and here on Maui we will be using it starting on October 31st.  Does that mean it will be scary?  :)

We have already been warned that the look is completely different, but it will be more user friendly.  Does anyone have any feedback regarding the Paragon system?  What do you like about it compared to previous systems you used?  Do you use the Contact Manager feature? 

How about the auto-notifications?  Do you have it set up to notify yourself of new listings in your neighborhood, or on your street?  Do you send auto-notifications to clients? 

Can you automatically send yourself an email update when a property closes?  Wouldn't that be nice?

We use a "auto" set-up listings search at the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board and it works exeptionally well.

 

It's hard for me to comment on "paragon 4.0" because our MLS system in Canada is pretty much univeral......we all share, as long as we subscribe to sharing of our data.

Carolyn - You mean to tell me that all agents in Canada subscribe to the same MLS system?  Wow, that's really progressive.  How many subscribers are there?  How do members make decisions about the system?

We went to Paragon 4 last Tuesday and it is great. Here at Intermountain MLS it runs pretty smooth and is very user friendly. Less clicking.

AAARGGGH - Since our Paragon 4 upgrade, we have been experiencing many technical difficulties.  For days now it has been really slow, and sometimes can't pull up a listing.  Very frustrating to try and search properties.  It's hit and miss.

We here in Lawton OK will be getting it soon. I am on the board Technology committee, but have not had a chance yet to tinker with it.

Does anybody know if you can run Paragon on a mac??

To the best of my knowledge Paragon is not compatible with the Mac OS. P4 supports/ runs on; Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000 
Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME
