You Asked - Can I get a VA loan for Hawaiian Homelands?
Here in Hawaii there are lands set aside for people with a minimum of 50% native Hawaiian heritage, and these are called Hawaiian Homelands. Find out more from the Department of Hawaiian Homelands.
If you are a war veteran, you will be happy to know that YES YOU CAN get a VA (Veterans Administration) loan for the purchase of a Hawaiian Homelands property on Maui.
Tony Dias of VA Loans Hawaii Inc. tells me that this is the only kind of VA loan where the buyer deals directly with the VA. Check out the Hawaii VA Loan program website.
If you have more questions about getting a VA loan, please contact Tony and he will be happy to help. (808) 306-9117

I never such a thing existed. I guess it is like the Amercian Indians here in America. Hope you have been doing good. I have been IMA for some time.
That's good thing! I hate war but I respect people who do such a hard job!
love and light,
Laura
Hi Sussie - nice to see you back at AR. I hope all is well with you!
Hi Laura - me too, and nice to know they get some benefits when they return.
That is great information on VA loans, Georgina. In Florida VA loans are almost impossible to get for condos. They want to fund homes or townhomes but too many condo complexes have had financial problems, so the VA and FHA don't want to deal with them anymore.
