Wailuku First Friday in September to feature Willie K's movie GET A JOB

The 'First Friday' celebration in Wailuku on September 7, will have a special presentation at the historic Iao Theater on Market Street.  The all Maui movie "Get A Job" with the award winning sound track will have three showings at 5, 7, and 9 P.M.  Tickets are $10 and available at the box office for all-shows.

Wailuku First Friday is an event that happens on the first Friday of each month, with live entertainment on the street, food vendors, and stores offering specials.  It's become a big event which people look forward to every time.

I remember when we moved to Maui in 1980 and first saw the lovely old Iao Theater.  There was talk of tearing it down, but common sense prevailed and the theater was saved from the wrecking ball.  Now 32 years later it still comes alive with local talent!  Let's keep up the spirit of community and get out to support these people.
