I signed up to be an e-Pro!

This week we had a free workshop with Joeann Fossland, a certified coach and e-Pro, at our Realtors Association of Maui. After she spoke, everyone was quite excited to sign up for the course. I did too, even though everyone tells me..."but you already know all that stuff don't you?". Well do I? How will I know until I find out?
I look at it this way.... if I DO already know all that stuff, then shouldn't I have the e-Pro designation to let consumers know that I know? If I DON'T know it already, they I should take the course and learn it, and still let consumers know that I know. Either way it just makes sense to pay the money, take the course, and get the e-Pro designation. If I can learn just 10% more, it would be worth it, wouldn't it? I'm willing to bet there will be some good tips I can learn from this online course for Realtors. I want to have the skills to best serve my Maui clients, now and in the future.

UPDATE - MAY 5,2008 I got my certificate! Thanks NAR and e-Pro.
Aloha from Maui - Georgina M. Hunter R(S) - future e-Pro

Georgina,
Many times we let our egos rob us of our true potential, so kudos to you for trying anyway...if you know it then you'll know it a little better, and if you don't know it now you'll know!
Aloha
it's worth having, and the CRS tech course too. we didn't learn much with ePro though, and I had a pretty heavy tech bg then, and back then ePro was a lot about email and autoresponders...etc. Nothing then about blogs, but their "real talk" probably was a ground floor idea for AR.
good luck and enjoy
best
Georgina
Congratulations on your designation!
Sincerely
Tom Braatz
Georgina- I didn't realize Joanne was already there......well nice to hear that her conference went well, and that you will be taking the course......I also like how you said it, if you know everything then get the designation, and if you don't know it you will learn.....:) :)
Glad to have you in our Group of e-PRO........
You are already qualified by what I see in your posts! You will have no problems breezing through the class.
your friend in Charlottesville
Ray - You know it!
Gregory - I'm looking forward to it.
Gary and Gary - thanks!
Mary - I think so too.
Sharon - good to hear that.
Tom - I'm confident that I'll get the designation, thanks,
Kathy - glad to be here... you'll see more of me
Charles - thanks for the encouragement
Leslie - well I'll be sure to mention it to them!
Thanks everyone!
Georgina...Congratulations from a fellow e-Pro-to-be.
I signed up in December and haven't started the course yet. Unfortunately they told me I only had until August 2008 to finish. They should never tell a procrastinator a thing like that. Come July I probably will have to take leave of AR and work on the course.
Wishing you much better success!!!
Cheers,
Kathleen
Hi Kathleen - don't put it off any longer - do you wanna race? lol
I talked to someone yesterday who told me he took it 3 times and still hasn't passed! He's going to be left in the dust.
Georgina...Just read your comment. Today (yesterday??? it's midnight) I read a few pages. That's the first time I did that. I had gone for some blood work and took some pages I had printed out with me thank goodness.
Now, about that challenge...have you gotten very far? And why did I have to read what you wrote about someone taking the test three times and failing each time?
IF I get serious about the course I'll probably have to stop playing in the Rain. Oh, what to do, what to do.
Less cheerful,
Kathleen
Kathleen - not yet started, just wrapping up a couple of high maint projects... maybe this weekend will be a good time to tuck into it
Georgina...I think it would be fun to start together. I've got appointments both tomorrow and Sunday anyway.
I did read Module 1: Section 1: (now don't ask me what is was about!) so I'll just hold off until you finish that. How does that sound? When you're ready to start on Mod.1 Sec.2 let me know and I'll try to buckle down.
Kathleen
Georgina...Notes! What Notes??? I'd better rethink this. I'm stressed already.
I need to make a confession. I have a color laser printer and I printed the whole thing out...double-sided. (Yes. I am concerned about the environment but I read it so much better on paper than on the computer.) I'm hi-lighting. Hope that will work.
Cheers,
Kathleen
Georgina...You are to be congratulated. I am so happy for you.
I'm still finishing up Module 1. When I first signed up and sending e-mails saying I only had until August I was thinking what's all this about. Now here it is May.
Enjoy your new designation and use it proudly. It takes more time than I thought it would although I'm not really doing my part in making time.
Cheers,
Kathleen
P.S. I think I need a course in time management.
Congrats Georgina!! Maui must be nice!! Hope to go someday!

Kathleen - you can do it.. just do a half an hour every other night, and soon it will be over! Make yourself do some, then as a reward you get to play on AR. See if that works.
Stephen - Hi, thanks for the message - yes Maui is super nice.
Hi Georgina...Thanks for your suggestion. It sounds like a plan. I have managed to complete Module 1 so that's a beginning.
