Pick your own strawberries at Kula County Farms in Kula Maui Hawaii

Kula Country Farms is all decked out for spring and they are offering a chance to pick your own strawberries!  What kid can resist a chance to pick fresh berries and put them in a basket!?  It's really great that this farm engages the consumers to come in and get involved with the farm experience.  They have animals for the kids to look at, and a nice picnic area with colorful seasonal flowers.  The farm stand offers lots of fresh veggies for sale as well as honeys and jams and other offerings from local farmers.

My Co-Workers wife made fresh strawberry jam and I purchased a large jar from her. It is so good not too much sugar. Too much sugar bothers my tummy and makes me sick.

I like it when there are farms that our children can see how we get our foods and how hard it is to put on the grocery shelf.

The schools here were selling large flats of strawberries about a month or so ago.  They were some of the sweetest strawberries we have had in a long time.  We bought two of them and put them up in the freezer.
