Great lunch at Cafe O'lei at The Dunes Restaurant in Maui Lani

We had a lovely lunch on the 4th of July, at the Dunes Restaurant, in Kahului.  It's actually Cafe O'lei at the Dunes, the Dunes Golf Course at Maui Lani.  The daily special was Macadamia Nut and Honey Roast Pork with Ceasar Salad, and it was only $6.95 so who could resist that!  The service was  prompt and friendly and you couldn't ask for a nicer location and view.  What a beautiful holiday!

Cafe O'lei has a few other restaurants on Maui and they're all good.  Lots of fresh local ingredients served up in creative ways, at affordable prices.  They must be doing something right because they keep on getting new locations.

The setting is really pretty, overlooking the water hole on the fairway, with the West Maui mountains as a dramatic backdrop.  You can get a table inside or out.  The menu is varied and they serve alcohol.  Plenty of parking.  It might seem like you're out of town but it's not anymore. Maui Lani is filling up with new homes and there are still some new developments selling out.  The new Maui Lani Village Center is being built and the roadways are complete so you can now drive up to Wailuku directly on Mauilani Parkway.

Georgina, this is a gorgeous setting!  I think I would sit outside and enjoy the surroundings and fresh air.  Café O'Lei is definitely reasonably priced and your lunch looks delicious!

Nice scenary, we love Maui and go every 5 years.  We're always looking for a great place to eat.  Next time we visit, we'll have to stop by there.  Thanks for sharing.

The view is so beautiful in the picture. This looks like the ideal place to enjoy lunch on the patio. Food seems better outside and with a view to enjoy while dining.
