Maui Blog - Georgie Hunter R(S): What kind of noise annoys an oyster?

What kind of noise annoys an oyster?

I never know what my dear old 94 year old dad will come up with next.  I was visiting him in Vancouver and we sat down to enjoy a plate of seafood with oysters, he piped up with this cute little rhyme from back in his past.  Now I've heard a lot of his stories and poems, and songs because those old memories have a way of sticking, but this one was completely new to me.  From now on I'll never see an oyster without thinking of this tongue twister.

What kind of noise annoys an oyster?

Any noise annoys an oyster, but a noisy noise annoys an oyster most!

That is a cute rhyme, and it is one I've nevery heard before.  I also like those accompanying pictures.

Praful Thakkar I think it's easier if you're not trying to read it, as the spelling will trip you up.

It should be sung after "she sells seashells down by the seashore".

Good afternoon Georgie. You are so lucky to still have your Father. I will remember this one too.

Your father looks great for his age. I don't eat oysters, but it is a cute rhyme.

Hi, Georgie! I love oysters; however, I have a feeling I will remember this every time I have a plate of oysters in front of me :)  Aloha ~

You're very fortunate to have your dad in your life, Georgie!  My father passed in 1966.  Yep, that was 50 years ago!
