What does a luxury oceanfront vacant lot on Maui look like? Maybe this short video of 2 acres at the end of Ho'olawa Road will show you... (click the link!!)
What's so special about 460 Ho'olawa Road? In a few words:
- off the grid and independent
- oceanfront and towering over the Pacific ocean and crashing waves below
- 1 of only 5 lots in Ho'olawa Point Subdivision
- great neighbors who will be an asset in the long run
- mostly level and all usable prime AG land
- remote and removed from the rest of the crazy world
- your own private fortress
- low property taxes
Can you see yourself building a beautiful retreat here at the end of the road? This subdivision has a water well that's shared amongst the 5 owners, but you can also implement your own water catchment system for extra water security. Power will be by way of a PV (photo voltaic) system and maybe even some wind in the mix... it's a windy bluff and wind power could be a great asset.
Some of the other neighbors are my clients, so I know them and trust them to be good community members. One new house has just been built here, and a couple more are going up soon. It's going to be a very desirable place to live once all the homes are built. Everyone has at least 2 acres of land, which can be very productive as we're seeing from the growth that's happening on a previously vacant lot.
It's AG land on Maui, so what does that mean? It means you can build a main house of any size, and a secondary farm workers dwelling too, or in other words, 2 homes. You can build barns, storage buildings, garages, etc. as needed. A farm plan will be required when you apply for a building permit, and with the current fencing and stock tank in place, you're already there.
Citrus trees are growing well at Ho'olawa Point.
If the world all goes to hell, this is a safe bet for a luxury estate on Maui. Buy this property and you're well on your way to being self sufficient. The price? If you have to ask you probably can't afford it. Let's just say it's around $1.5M, and money well spent for a very private and unique oceanfront retreat.
