Maui Blog - Georgie Hunter R(S): Beautiful peacocks at the Garden of Eden, Maui Hawaii

Beautiful peacocks at the Garden of Eden, Maui Hawaii

If you get a chance to visit the Garden of Eden on Maui, you'll see these beautiful peacocks strutting around the grounds.  It's a botanical attraction on the road to Hana, and well worth the visit.  The 33 acre park has been planted with all sorts of interesting tropical trees and flowers, with walking paths throughout.  If you don't feel much like walking, you can just drive around and still see a lot of lovely scenery, with some lookout spots just a short walk from the car.  You'll see waterfalls and ocean views, among other sights.

The Garden of Eden is being offered for sale by Maui International Real Estate Services, and I can be the buyer's agent.  They are asking $20,000,000 at this point, and not sure what they will take, but I can say there is a lot going on here with many buildings, a residence, a gift shop, and other opportunities to make income.  It would make a great setting for private parties or weddings, maybe a nice retreat center or spa.  Let me know if you need more details, and I have many more pictures too.

The address is 10600 Hana Highway and it's listed in the Haiku area.

How breathtaking! Georgie, in our three times going to Maui, our favorite island (and where we got married, on Ulua Beach), I never knew that this existed. Only $20mil?? Hah! I'm sure many people can come up with that...

BTW, ironically I have been looking at old peacock pics of mine from a nursery I visited many years ago. I was taking them from one computer to another, and editing them for my Pinterest Board. Here's one:

I photographed this beauty at Cascadian Nursery. He was in the parking lot waiting and posing.:

Hi Georgie, that looks and sounds like an idyllic property.  At $20M, hmm ... we'll see if we can refer you a buyer :)  - they'll probably want to know the Cap Rate, though!  John and Kat

What I wish for you my friend is that you become the buyers agent for this listings and you send me a single dollar of your commission to hang on my wall for good luck. That would be awesome Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - these pictures reminded me of my childhood days when I'd visit the villages in vacation - and would see hundreds of peacocks at the river bank and on the trees.

Good morning Georgie. I love to see the peacocks too but I am afraid of them as well.

Peacocks are such amazing birds!  The creative spirit that gave birth to them is awesome!

Wow.  I didn't even know this place existed.  Next time I vacation out there I'll have to check it out.  I've had a few rescue calls over the years because of peacocks.  Their screams sound very similar to a woman screaming for help.

I had a firend in Oklahoma City who was a Lutheran minister that had three pet peacocks in his backyard. When they spread their wings and called out is drew your attention.

Ryan Huggins - Thousand Oaks, CA Yes, it would be a good alternative to doing the whole "road to Hana" thing, for those who can't handle a lot of winding road.

Joe Pryor You're right - the sound can be very disturbing.  I don't think I would want one living close by me.

Jane Peters Yes, money to burn!  Plenty of people in the world that fit that description.
