You'll see this cute little local fruit stand on the "road to Hana" around the 5 mile marker on Maui's north shore.  If you're looking for a taste of the tropics, pull over quickly and experience the flavor of the jungle ... pineapples, papayas, bananas and coconuts.  Shave ice!

I remember these when we visited Hawaii a long time ago.  I really need to get back to Hawaii sometime.

Aloha Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - Great shot and a nice shout out for Huelo Lookout Fruit Stand. I did the trip to Hana once. Back then we took the unpaved road back and almost hit a cow on the road!

I think I have been to this fruit stand. That might be the most amazing drive on earth!

Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089 - We could use fruit stands like that here in Flower Mound, TX. It was a hot, hot, hot day!

I would imagine this is a popular spot because many people purchase fresh fruit.l I kind of like this idea much better than Farmer's Markets.

I love the little stands doing business. It reminds me of those that I saw in Israel.

Georgie, I love all the fruit and have a special love and miss the shaved ice....
I ived 2 years on Waikiki while attending the Univ. of Hawaii Manoa and had the Shaved Ice with a tiny scoop of ice cream on the bottom many, many times; so refreshing!  Wishing you a great weekend. Wishing also right now I could walk down Kuhio or Kalakaua and get a cone.
