The Friends of Haleakala National Park (pictured) are organizing a three-night service
trip into Haleakala Crater for Aug. 9 to 12. Volunteers must be able to
backpack into the crater carrying a sleeping bag and a share of the group's
food, and stay for three nights for free at Kapalaoa Cabin. In addition to
helping the native habitat, there will be time for hiking, photography and
relaxation. Up to 11 volunteers can be accommodated. Those interested in
participating in this or future service trips in Haleakala National Park may
call 248-7660 for more information and reservations.

hahaha Sally - wouldn't you know it - got a call about a short sale today - and the listing agent won't return my call.... maybe that's a good thing.... there are plenty of other choices.
Prices are so high out there I would have to rob a bank to buy something!!!! WOW! But it sure is beautiful!
