I'm sure you're all wondering.... where on earth is the world's largest surfboard fence? Well it's right here in Hawaii... in Peahi, Haiku Maui. Last year this fence was given the dubious distinction of being the world's largest surfboard fence by the Guinness Book of Records (I think), with over 400 boards forming a fence around this Haiku Maui property. I just drove by there yesterday while on Haiku Realtor Caravan, and the lighting was so good I had to stop the car and get a picture, without even getting out! This is what you call recycling!
Not to be confused with the world's largest surfboard which is in Australia.
Where the heck is Haiku Maui you ask? Here's a link to an interactive HAIKU MAP for your convenience.

Well, actually, I wasn't wondering, but sometimes people seem to know that if they will provide the answer, I'll think of the question. In this case, I thought of the question, and I think it's pretty cool that there's an answer. Did that make sense? LOL
Georgina - As always you have an amazing photo that draws me in... I love the fence... That is a lot of surf boards.
Georgina, I loved seeing this, how creative! I didn't even know they had a surfboard fence :)
Now thats interesting! Nothing quite like the way Hawaiins do it! :-)
Russel - I'm still trying to figure that one out...
Debbie - it's any eye-catching landmark in the neighborhood. I've taken pictures many times.
Carole - it's such a good way to make a fence and keep junk out of the landfill landfull
Liz - Maybe someone in your area can start a snowboard fence with the old boards... maybe you could start a trend!
That is one of my favorite sites in Haiku.
Hi Georgina, Thats cool a surf board fence, I wonder if the owner of the property has a pro surf shop.
Here in Texas we has the Cadillac Ranch outside Amarillo, Texas,

Reason number 52 why I have to head to Maui before the year is up.
Georgina - What a cool photograph and to think of all places, Maui. You would think California, but I have heard some of the best waves for surfing in the world are in Hawaii.
Roy - I think that Cadillac Ranch is very unique and creative - but it's looking a little well worn now. We get cars like that in Haiku from time to time, but nobody has ever bothered to assemble them into a circle.
Chuck - as if you need that many reasons!
Robert - yes, this is a surfing mecca for sure
Marvelous photo Georgina - both of the ingeniously creative surfboard fence - and of your lovely face! I'm just catching up a bit, since I haven't been that active here. Great to see you!
Hi Georgina- Nice photo! I would love to have that fence in my backyard.....Doug
Deborah - I'm doing some catching up too. Do you think we will really ever catch up?
Doug - be careful what you wish for. Or did you mean you would like to buy this property? haha - not for sale (yet).
