HAWAII STANDARD TIME = HST
If you really don't know what time it is in Hawaii, can you please refer to a time zone map before calling. I am willing to answer your calls at odd hours, but not at 4:30 in the morning.
Here in Hawaii we don't go onto Daylight Saving Time. We are 2 or 3 hours BEHIND the West Coast, depending on the season. We are 5 or 6 hours BEHIND the East Coast.
Here's an easy way to remember HST, in case you don't know if Hawaii is before or after.... picture a rising sun coming up in the EAST and setting in the WEST. So if Hawaii is west of California (of course you know that already), the sun will be coming up later than in California, right? Therefore, when it's daybreak on the west coast, we are still in the dark, and probably still sleeping. Does that make sense? Any questions?
I do want to hear from you. Thank you for keeping this in mind before you call me.
Aloha from Maui Hawaii...
