Check Your Twitpic uploads - it could be someone else's picture
Have you ever loaded a picture to Twitpic.com and added a comment to go with it?
Have you ever checked the picture and it was not your picture? There was an imposter picture?
That happened to me twice in one day. It stopped me in my tracks! Where was my truck pic? Who posted that cement truck driving on the freeway? Did the person who posted the cement truck get my picture, or somebody else's?
To delete an unwanted picture just go to your Twitpic home page where the uploaded pictures appear. Click the little trash can icon to the right of the wrong picture.
What I find amazing is how many views a picture will get almost immediately! How does that happen?
Check your links after you upload your pictures. And if you want to see some nice images of Maui Hawaii, follow me on Twitter.com
Thanks for following me.... @mauihunter

Hmm I have not had taht happened to me but then again I dont really use twitpic all that much. I am assuming you did eventually get the car unstuck?
I will check it out. BTW I have been the guy driving that truck!
your friend for Charlottesville Real Estate!
Charles McDonald
I have never used Twitpic but will be sure to check it out and bookmark this post. BTW the truck is a great remembrance why I don't like to go four wheeling. :))
Heather - that was just taken on Friday - I believe it's still there - thank goodness it's not mine!
Charles - oh I feel sorry for you. That could get ugly.
Leolinda - Twitpic is really easy to use, and when you post a pic it goes right to Twitter for you. Try it.
Georgina, the thing with pics is sometimes you have no clue who the source was.
thanks for the tip. I think Twitter is new technology and gliches are not rare, so best to check it out.
Wow..never heard of it since I hardly ever use twitpics--since I didn't have a camera phone however I do now, so I'll definitely watch & look at my links after its uploaded. Mahalo for the tip!
BTW, this is @ucsmiles...we met at today's 2/13/09 #mauitweetup. Nice site you have going!! I'll add it to my favorites..so when my hubby gets home-I can show him who I met today from twitter..LOL!
Aloha,
Cindy
Gary - yeah it's strange, but works OK most of the time
Chris and Karen - thanks for dropping in
Cindy - Hey! Howzit? You're everywhere! Thanks for reading my blog, there's a lot here! Please share it with anyone you know, especially anyone looking for a home.
that's never happened to me, but then again I have not sent that many pictures to Twitpic. Just not that big a photography person.
I use twitpic all the time but have never had this happen. I will definatlly keep checking my links just in case.
Thanks for twitpic.com I'm always looking for a great place for my photos. That truck reminds me of my valentines day, my husband and I got stuck in a mud hole in our nissan altima. Our friend had to come pull us out with his 4X4. It will go down in the most romantic date!
Maureen - go out and get yourself a digital camera and get used to taking pictures
Justin - again it happened the other day!
DeVerie & Josh - that must have been a fun date!
Thanks
Unitl this post I never thought of checking
Tony
Georgina - I haven't been using twitpics to the best of my ability... but, the last pic I uploaded never arrived. I'll keep your post in mind when I do upload a photo.
Tony - the same goes for all your links - check your website links once in a while too
Debbie - it never hurts to check
I just learned about this twitpic sounds interesting, I like digital photography especially of my Rhode Island State
Thanks, I haven't used twitpics yet.
Mark - you take some nice pictures - try "tweeting" them
Wendy - check it out, very easy to use.
Georgina, I'll try to get to it this week. I did find you and am now following you. As you can see I'm VERY new at Twitter.
This is something I will have to check up on
Very intersting - I'll be following you soon. Thanks for the helpful post.
Wendy - welcome to Twitter.com
Danny - it's all part of the social networking revolution
Erica - looking forward to following you too.
Hi Georgina - I've really underutilized TwitPics. But now that you mention how many views some of them are getting, it's time for me to take a second look at it!
Thanks for the great post! I'll be sure and check that out next time I post.
Thanks for the post, I'll be sure to check mine more often now. No telling what may show up!
John - it's so easy and it gets out to a large audience
Jim & Janet - you're welcome
Ken - it doesn't take much effort to check
thanks for visiting my blog and commenting!
Nope, I can't say that's happened to me, but I do wonder how a pic gets so many views so quickly. I'm still getting there with Twitter, check out my latest post: http://activerain.com/blogsview/1011439/More-on-Twitter-and-Tweeting-What-are-you-doing
Georgina - Thanks for the heads up on the pics. I haven't submitted any yet, but when I do, I'll remember to check and make sure it is the right one. Now I know how to delete as well, thanks.
Have had that happen to me as well with twitpic - it was my caption and someone else's photo - hope I deleted it before too many people saw it - I was talking about my son (called him my boy) and photo was some unknown man. Made me laugh.
Darren - thanks - I'm now following you too
Troy - glad to help
Carolyn - funny! I wonder how it happens?
Georgina, I don't have any idea how to post a picture on twotter... I am going to try because of this post.. hopefully I won't have the issue you had... but I will at least make an attempt..
Wow, never thought of this for twitpics. I have checked shortened url's because I often get them from someone else and when I try to open them, they don't work. Guess from now on I will check everything I send out. It really is a good idea anyway. Thanks for a really useful post.
I appreciate the information and will go check out the site now. I am going to REbar Camp in SF next week, I can try it out there!
Thanks,
Sandra
Joanne - Twitpic is just one of many services that will post your picture directly to your Twitter page.
Gary - it's a good habit to have - double check all links etc.
Sandra - have fun at REbar Camp!
Thanks for the heads up, I will check it out
Thanks for the tip. I have not even gotten far enough in Twitter to upload pictures yet, but that is on my to do list.
Georgina...Great advice! First, I guess I need to figure out how the photo portion works so that I can do that. I have written your advice down first though, so that if it happens to me, I will be ready! :)
