Getting paid to go to the beach on Maui

Surf's up - go to the beachGetting paid to go to the beach

Some people have all the luck... getting paid to go to the beach!  There's the pro surfers and windsurfers who have sponsors to pay for their equipment.  They win money on the contest circuit, not to mention big bucks from advertising endorsements.  Here on the north shore of Maui we get plenty of professionals who train in the water.

Then you have the lifeguards, wow what a nice job!  I had to drop in on a client who works at the beach and get his approval on a contract, since he wasn't able to get away.  Surf's up today and the beach was pretty crowded, but still beautiful.  The waves were going off.  (It was tempting to stay!)

It's great work if you can get it - but just remember to be safe in the water.

I have only been to Maui once.  Sure wish I was there tonight.  Really cold in Kentucky!

Georgina, getting paid to hang out in paradise. Doesn't get any better than that.

Cindy Crutcher - just to rub it in, we're going on a sunset whale watch tonight for Valentine's Day.

Gary - I'm not complaining!

I've often wondered where we go sometimes to get the job done. My strangest was when I had to meet a police officer. He couldn't get away from his job so I was to meet him at 1234 Beethoven Lane at exactly 9:55 a.m. When I got there, there really wasn't a 1234 Beethoven Lane, just a police car sitting there. Yep, that was him. He started his radar shift at 10:00 a.m., so we had to get everything done before he started giving out tickets to the speeders coming around the corner.

Georgina - I wish someone would pay me to go to the beach... If I wasn't a REALTOR I would be a travel writer so that I could get paid to vacation.

Georgina, great job to have wouldn't it? How about an RE office AT the beach? ;-) Maui, indeed, is so beautiful. ;-)

Georgina - Living near the beach gives us the opportunity to get there all the time too, which is great!

Georgina- We live near the beach and in the summer and fall we go to the beach once a week. But I like Maui much better than the Atlantic coast.  I will be moving there when I retire. It is already being planned:)

I was a lifeguard on a lake for years - really not that fun, always sun burned and am now paying for that. It sure sounds good tho.

Have not been to Hawaii yet.

I absolutely LOVE Hawaii, and was lucky enough to have 7 days experiencing Maui, one of my most enjoyable trips - and I do manage to take vacations in between my hectic real estate career. Getting away really helps re-charge my batteries - beaches are my favorite place to relax! Carla Harbert, Re/Max Pros
